Acoustic Server Racks

SoundProof Cabinets

SoundProof Cabinets are indoor 19-inch acoustic rack enclosures built for offices, clinics, bank branches, retail back offices and other shared environments where equipment noise must be reduced without sacrificing cabinet security and controlled airflow.

This version fixes the original layout problem by using real wrapper structure, reserved image space, cleaner CTA blocks and stronger internal linking toward your rack cabinet cornerstone pages.

Where SoundProof Cabinets are used

Typical installation areas

  • Open offices and shared workspaces
  • Hospitals and clinics
  • Bank branches and customer-facing areas
  • Retail back offices and service rooms
  • Reception zones, corridors and public-facing technical corners

Why buyers choose them

  • Lower perceived equipment noise in occupied spaces
  • Safer enclosure compared with exposed server or UPS placement
  • Cleaner project presentation where a standard server room is not available
  • Controlled cabinet ventilation with quieter fan modules

A soundproof cabinet is not selected by U height alone. Depth, real heat load, equipment fan behavior and room sensitivity should be checked together before quotation.

How SoundProof Cabinets reduce noise

01

Acoustic lining

Internal insulation layers help absorb and dampen noise generated by servers, switches and UPS fans.

02

Sealed body structure

Door and panel closure reduce direct noise leakage compared with an open or standard lightly ventilated rack.

03

Controlled airflow path

Quiet fan modules remove heat while keeping acoustic performance more stable than uncontrolled room-side airflow.

Practical result depends on the equipment list inside the rack. A light network switch and a high-RPM server do not produce the same acoustic result, even if the cabinet size is identical.

Cooling and ventilation

SoundProof Cabinets are selected by balancing noise reduction and thermal management. For quotation accuracy, buyers should provide rack height, equipment list, ambient conditions and estimated heat load.

Typical ventilation scope

  • 1 or 2 fan modules with digital thermostat
  • Approx. 29–30 dB fan-module reference
  • Recommended indoor operating conditions around 0°C to +40°C
  • Configuration-dependent heat load handling

How to choose the right SoundProof Cabinet

  1. Calculate real occupied U plus spare capacity for growth.
  2. Check the deepest equipment body and the cable bend radius behind it.
  3. Estimate total heat load in kW before selecting fan module configuration.
  4. Choose door type according to visibility, aesthetics and access pattern.
  5. Confirm whether the cabinet sits in a noise-sensitive public area or in a technical room.
  6. Review related cabinet guidance if physical security or rack depth is still unclear.
For office or public-area projects, send equipment model list, rack height, target ambient temperature and destination country. That produces a much cleaner RFQ than asking only for “one acoustic rack”.

FAQ

How much noise reduction can I expect?

It depends on equipment fan speed, heat load, cabinet sealing and room condition. Quote with the real equipment list, not by cabinet size alone.

Will a soundproof cabinet overheat the equipment?

Not if ventilation is sized correctly. Heat load and airflow path must be reviewed before the final configuration is approved.

Should I choose a SoundProof Cabinet or a standard server rack?

If the rack will stand in offices, clinics, reception areas or other occupied spaces, a SoundProof Cabinet is usually the better fit. In a dedicated server room, a standard rack is often enough.

Is this an outdoor cabinet?

No. SoundProof Cabinets are indoor acoustic enclosures. For field or external installation, use the outdoor IP-rated cabinet range.
