Air-air ex-changer using the climate air for cooling cable. The pressurised air drives the fan which propels the climate air. This machine should be between the air-compressor and the cable blowing machine. It keeps the temperature of compressed air to around 10°C above the climate temperature avoiding the issues caused by overheated air. Without air cooler, the temperature of compressed air exiting the compressor is around 35°C above the ambient temperature. Warm air above 55°C, is extremely softening the cable jacket and also the duct wall, thus increasing the coefficient of friction between cable and duct. This will result in a lower installation speed, shorter installed cable lengths and increased risk of duct bursting.
